My Story

I think my love for natural medicine and nutrition came from my love of reading and cooking.

I specifically remember checking out a book on natural medicine from the library as a young teen and I was fascinated that herbs and food could be used to heal!

Cooking was always important in my family so I had every opportunity to learn and explore in the kitchen. The combination of a love for cooking and nourishing my loved ones along with my fascination with biology led me to Holistic Health Coaching.

During my own wellness journey, I experienced the overwhelming feeling that comes with navigating the contradictory information in the health and wellness world. This led to my own health struggles including high cortisol levels and hormonal imbalances.

My personal wellness journey has given me empathy for fellow women struggling with hormonal imbalances and has become my area of focus as a health coach.

Most Approaches

Conventional approaches to health dwell on specific calorie, carbohydrate, fat, protein ratios, with little education around supplements.

Instead of creating lists of restrictions of good and bad foods or recommending strict workout regimens, I coach my clients to explore simple improvements and implement gradual changes during our work together.

As these pieces accumulate, my clients find these changes collectively create a much larger impact than they originally anticipated.

My Approach

Being a graduate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, I learned that a holistic approach to health leads to lifelong wellness. The food we eat, the way we move our bodies, the quality of our relationships and our spiritual life affect us from the inside out.

My goal is to help you find balance in these areas of life through a bio-individual approach so that you can live a life of health and wellness!

My Coaching

I serve as a guide to help you get in touch with your body's unique needs. I want to equip you with self-awareness so that you can make the best decisions for your health in any given situation. I believe each individual should be their own advocate for health and wellness.

Below are a few of the principles I implement in my health coaching sessions.

Primary Food

It's easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It's not just the food we eat that affects our health, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling job, regular physical activity, and a strong spiritual life are essential forms of nourishment.

When these "primary foods" are balanced the food on our plate becomes secondary. I will support you in all of these areas to create a holistic approach to healing.

Bio-Individuality

The concept of bio-individuality is the idea that each of us have unique diet and lifestyle needs. One person's food can be another person's poison, this is why fad diets don't work in the long run. Our ethnicity, blood type, and metabolic type are all factors that make up who we are and what we need.

Working on the principles of bio-individuality, I'll support you to make positive changes that are tailored to your unique needs.

Crowding Out

Many nutrition experts give clients a strict list of foods to avoid and foods to eat, which explains why many people are turned off by nutrition.

My approach is different- by eating and drinking foods that nourish, you will naturally begin to have less room or desire for unhealthy foods. Simply put, you will crowd out the unhealthy foods from your plate. It takes a little practice to make this happen, but I'm here to support you along the way.

Cycle Syncing

As women, our hormones fluctuate from day to day due to the ever-changing phases of our cycle. Yes, there is more than just having your period, there are in fact four "phases" to the female cycle, called the infradian rhythm which is unique to female biochemistry. Our moods, energy level, and nutritional needs are affected by these phases and fluctuations.

In my hormone health and fertility coaching programs, I help you decode the four phases and how cycle syncing your workouts, diet, and self-care can balance your hormones and boost your fertility, naturally!
